Postby support » Tue Apr 14, 2009 2:20 pm

Due to many posts regarding moneybookers we'll put up a FAQ section on it.

What is Moneybookers?

Moneybookers is an International electronic wallet that you can maintain in your local currency
and fund by transferring funds from your bank account, cheque, credit/debit cards or via
alternative payment methods available in your country. You can use Moneybookers for secure on-line
purchases without worrying about disclosing your credit card information.

STEP 1 : Create an account
First, you need to open your Moneybookers account. www.moneybookers.com
Simply click on the 'Register' link in the top left corner of the site and follow the instructions.

Use a valid email as all transactions will be sent to your email.
Once the account is created you need to verify it using that email.

Please click on the link (underlined in red in the image below) found in your confirmation email to verify your email address.

***NOTE : FOR NEW ACCOUNTS MONEYBOOKER RANDOM WANTS TO DO CHECKS TO VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT THEY MAY ASK
FOR DOCUMENTS OR CHARGE UR CARD SOME REFUNDABLE $ THE WHOLE PROCESSES WILL TAKE ABOUT 1 WEEK :| ****

STEP 2A : Upload funds - General Method (Alternatively use step 2B for depositing via poker sites if using eNets)

Go to: 'My Account' > 'upload funds' > choose your preferred payment method.

Depending on countries you have different options
For example in Singapore you have

Bank transfer...........(Free but really slow)
Debit/Credit Card......(Expensive compared to eNets)
eNETS................(Recommended, requires internet banking)

Follow the steps to get your cash into the Moneybookers. The cash can then be used for various purposes.
If you do not wish to leave cash inside Moneybookers you can use step 2B.

STEP 2B : Upload funds into the poker site

Using Pokerstar as an example :

1) Click Cashier
2) Click "Buy Chips"
3) Click MoneyBookers Icon then click deposit
4) Enter the moneybooker email address, amount to deposit, then click submit
5) Choose enets. (or just straight from the wallet if you have previously deposited into the wallet using step 2A).
6) Follow through the instructions.
7) Done.

Hihi,

Yea i know about the depositing part, but erm, how about the withdrawing part? Can i withdraw the money back into my account through my POSB debit card?

Anyone tried withdrawing $$ from moneybookers before?

Yes, but it is highly unlikely u can withdraw to a Singapore credit card, to bank account is okay.

You usually need to withdraw a small amount first, somewhere of $20 range.

DBS will deduct $10 and send you a letter. Scan that letter and email mb support with the letter and you can withdraw a larger amount the second time around.

hi harocarlos, i'm not johnny's bro. :)

also, full tilt doesn't allow the usage of moneybookers to deposit, only to withdraw, right?

So you have to pay the $10 at least twice ? ? ?

Wow doesn't seem worthwhile to withdraw unless it's for a few k at least !

I tried depositing funds to Pokerstars using moneybookers. I had previously uploaded some S$ into moneybookers using eNets (step 2a). So far so good. But when I tried the @b, the moneybookers website opened up and now they are sending me some snailmail for address verification. Is this usual? Am I not following the right steps?

this is the message I am getting when i try to fund the pokerstars account. The moneybookers website opens up automatically and shows this msg:

For security reasons you are not permitted to make payments to gaming websites (casino / pokerkaki / poker / bingo). If you wish to use Moneybookers for this purpose, we request that you complete our address verification procedure. This will also increase your outgoing transaction limit.

Please note that payments to casino/ pokerkaki/ poker/ bingo websites cannot be made from Internet Protocol (IP) Addresses which are registered to countries restricted for online gaming.
