This sounds great! Don't mind if I ask some newbie questions:

1) Is there entry fee into cruise? Is there fee for ferry to the cruise?
2) Is the ferry schedule in the earlier thread still valid? viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1446
3) Can get cabins on the cruise to rest n shower etc?
4) Whats the payouts (how many to get ITM)?
5) How many players in each competition?

Thanks and I will be interested for sure.

Hi Kungfusion,

1) There is a fee of $60 to get on the cruise. However, hold on to your ticket and you can redeem $50 back in chips on the boat. The redemption can be used for your tournament buy-in as well.

2) Yes the schedule is still valid.

3) Yes you will be able to, but these are sold separately.

4) ITM should be the usual top 10% of the field.

5) The previous tournament (held on a Tuesday) had approx. 40 runners. Given that this one is on a weekend, the numbers should be similar if not greater.

Hope this was useful. =]

Thanks Ikelos! $60 for entry into Cruise, I assume we will need to take ferry out to the Cruise so any idea is there a ferry fee as well?

Any idea how much for a cabin? This is just in case I bring the OC and she gets bored. :)

If for eg there are 40 runners, do you know whats the total payout for say the top 4? $12,000 thereabouts?

Hi Kungfusion,

Yes the prize pool size you supply for 40 runners is correct.

Regardless of whether you board direct or go via ferry, the price is the same.

Will get back to you kn the room rates once we check it out =]

Hi,

Yes if you miss the last ferry, you'll only be able to disembark the next morning, when the boat docks at Harbourfront. Should be a whole lot of poker to keep everyone occupied though.

It's open to the public as mentioned by ikelos.
It would be great that you can tell us how many of you are coming for the tourney so that we can roughly get a head count.

Since the tourney is going to start at 9pm, try to leave harbourfront latest by taking the 7.20pm ferry.
I would advise you to reach the cruise counter (on 3rd level) to purchase the tickets @ 1 1/2 hrs (around 6pm) before the ferry leave the dock. Sometimes, there are a lot of uncles and aunties rushing to board the weekend cruise after knocking off from their work. The seats might be fully booked by then. Just reach there early to avoid disappointment.

Important note: Remember to enter the custom 30 mins (enter by 6.50pm) earlier as the gate will close up real fast. I was late for 1 minute and missed the ferry. In the end I have to pay up another $10 for the next ferry.

Okie. thx.
ermmm let say if i change 250 chips. i will get a total of 300 non neogotiable chips in return (due to the refund for the cruise fare)
can i use it for the buy in/rebuyin/add on for the touranment?
Jus curious because friday's game would be at night, which means most likely players will have to stay over night there?
most players will tong till 2pm and play another tourny? or is there other arrangements?
And let say if me n some of my frens are only available for the saturday game what time must we be there by?

Hi stussyboi,

You will have unlimited rebuys up to the first break, insofar as your chip stack is less or equal to your original starting stack.

So, no, a player will not be able to begin with 10x the amount of chips.

Hope this was useful.
