PRESS RELEASE (Manila, Philippines) -- With APT Philippines 2010 still over two and a half months away, some of the biggest names in online poker are on board to show their support for the event.

Three top poker sites and networks – PKR, PartyPoker, and the iPoker Network, will be running online satellites to the APT Philippines 2010 main event.

PartyPoker, which operates the World Poker Tour (WPT), is the third largest poker site in the world. PKR, meanwhile, is known throughout the poker industry for its cutting-edge graphics and realistic 3D game-play simulations.

Also running qualifiers to the event will be the iPoker Network. The largest online poker network in the world today, the iPoker Network has a total of 67 member cardrooms.

Land-based qualifiers to the event are also on the horizon. Resorts World Manila, the official venue of APT Philippines 2010, is looking to run satellites and other promotions leading up to the big event.

In addition, the APT will be looking to partner with poker rooms around Asia to run qualifying tournaments for seats to the main event.

APT Philippines 2010 will be held from August 23 to 29 at the Resorts World Manila complex in Manila, Philippines. Buy-in is set at approximately US $2,500 + US $200.

Last year’s APT Philippines main event won by Filipino poker pro Neil Arce, who took home US $185,000 for finishing first. The win gave poker a big boost in the country as it was the first time a local player had won an international poker tournament held in the Philippines.

Aside from the main event, there will be eight exciting side events at APT Philippines 2010, including a high-rollers tournament, a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, and the APT’s very own Greed tournament.

Just started playing at PKR Poker website, the field is rather soft and the web 3D graphic presentation would blew you away, somemore can create your own avatar machaim playing live table.

Not so much for multi-tabling but good for player that enjoy playing at a single table in a aminated environment, a truely new experience for online pokering.

My result
Played 2x stage II, cleared both
Played 2x stage III, cleared 1, the other one heads up got busto.
Tomorrow 3.40am will be playing the final stage gunning for a seat in APT Philippines.

I was at the PKR site too last night. I saw ur name in stage 3 but really not sure if u were the one. First look, I saw u were behind poopieluv.... Too bad it's late, can't wait to complete the event. But was really amazed when I saw ur name get the 18th place to enter the final stage tomorrow. Congrats bro... Wish u all the luck...

I reached stage 2 only (2x). 1st time, 4th place (return $ back). 2nd time, my AK suited was beaten all-in by 87 (offsuit). He's not short-stacked. Flop 345 and he hit straight at the turn (6)... Really can't believe it. Well, I know... That's poker...

Thanks for the support, with abit of luck last night, just managed to be the no. 18 participant in the final stage and expected to have a field of around 30 players going for a sole seat .... not easy.... but trying hard.

Support and Admin,

Kindly get to work and link up with PKR, I think this concept would be a "IN" thing in the near future - A substitute for live poker, especially doing Mega-sats.
