PokerStars Macau Thread

Postby fleung22 » Mon Aug 16, 2010 6:23 pm

Good day Poker Kaki members,

I thought I'd create an official PokerStars Macau thread for those interested in visiting Asia's largest poker room.

PokerStars Macau (PSM) is located at Casino Grand Lisboa on Floor 2. PSM is home to the Macau Poker Cup series, Macau Millions, and is the flagship destination on the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT).

I'll post upcoming special events and I'm happy to answer questions about the cardroom. Of course, I'll try to skew the news material for the Singapore crew particularly Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang.

The official PokerStars Macau website is http://www.pokerstarsmacau.com

If you're a facebook user please join the "PokerStars Macau Poker Group"

Best regards,

Fred

HI Fred; Can concur that it is a great room - best tournaments in all of Macau. Actually, that's not saying much but they are certainly the best that I've played elsewhere as well.

Any info yet on the $350K Knockout Tourny in October? Online satellites would be fantastic!

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated.

For those who don't know there will be the October Monthly Special --> $5,000 KO Bounty Tournament on October 16 @ 6 PM. The tournament does count towards the Asia Player of the Year Leaderboard (I'm just going to type APOY from now on) and has HKD 350,000 Guarantee. I can't officially tell you but let's say I have good reason to believe that this will be a very good size field and EASILY surpass the guarantee.

PokerStars Online Satellites for the October Monthly Special runs from Sept 13 - Oct 10. You can find PSM events/satellites in the "Events" tab, then click "Macau"

Hi Bobby,

The Grand Lisboa Hotel does indeed have a PokerStars player rate. It changes from time to time but is generally HKD 1600 for weekday, 2100 for Fri/Sat. The price includes taxes.

There's no discount for the (Old) Hotel Lisboa but it is approximately half the cost of the Grand Lisboa.

You can send requests for hotel to macau@pokerstars.com
