Have you ever taken a shot out of your bankroll?

Postby felixleong » Sat Aug 30, 2008 11:19 am

One month back i took like 5% of my poker bankroll and placed a $475 shot in the APPT qualifer haha, but failed miserably.
Anyone who does the same thing too or just take a shot at a higher level of cash game under bankrolled?

peeps who take frequent shots above their bankroll are those who support a huge chunk of the poker economy.

I ever once took my entire chinese new year ang pow $$ bankroll and place it on just a single hand of sg blackjack and of course the dealer doubled up from me hahahaha
why do humans have such a strong urge to gamble it up? hahaha

actually, addiction to gambling has been proposed to be a side effect of overly structured lifestyles.

We're built in the take chances. That's how advances are made. But if you're the type of play safe guy IRL, you will have a stronger urge to gamble in games to release the built up frustrations.

I'm still wondering if 5% of your bankroll is counted as taking a shot out of your bankroll..
As my dear friend once told me, 'take a shot, but don't get shot~'
