--------------------------What to do after cashing out in Genting's tourney------------------------------ For those of you who are spurred on by our kakis recent result in Genting and will like to venture into Uncle Lim's den come January 2010 for the next tourney, here are some points to note with regards to cashing out. Genting will pay winners vouchers that comes in 2 forms: 1) NN warrant voucher - these vouchers are exchanged for non-negotiable chips, these are chips that cannot be exchanged for cash, also know as rolling chips 2) cash warrant voucher - these vouchers are exchanged for cash chips The ratio of cash warrants to NN warrants that you will receive is random and varies from tourney to tourney, it mainly depends on how much Genting earns from the tourney. This is due to the fact that Genting's tourney is a guaranteed purse tourney, as such, NN warrants will be paid for the portioned covered by Genting in cases where there is a shortage due to a lack of participants. -------------------------How to convert NN vouchers to CASH MONEY--------------------- For those who received NN warrants, you can present these vouchers at the roulette tables in the International Room in Genting to exchange these vouchers for NN chips. Example of how the NN chip looks like: <insert picture here hahahaha> If you have received NN warrants and do not wish to donk off your winnings at the baccarat tables, read on for the most efficient method to convert your NN chips into cash chips. Firstly, do have some cash chips in hand and proceed to find a roulette table where you can comfortably stand directly in the middle of the betting felt. Next, do a count of your NN chips, take the total of your chips, divide the figure by 3700, remember the whole number of your answer. i.e. you have 8000 chips, 8000/3700=2.162 (remember the number 2, lets call it the magic number) What you should do after that is to bet 100 x (magic number) on each number from 0 to 36. This will incur a total of 37 bets of 100 x (magic number). Lets assume magic number is 1, what happens next is after the ball lands, you will find yourself with 1 returning bet of 100 NN chip with winnings of 3500 in cash chips. If magic number is 2, you will have 200 NN chips and 7000 cash chips. By now you should have less than 3700 in NN chips, what to do then? Divide your remaining chips by 12, do you get a number larger than 100? if so, refer to Roulette 12 below If not, divide it by 6, do you get a number larger than 100? If so, refer to Roulette 6 below If not, divide it by 3, do you get a number larger than 100? if so refer to Roulette 3 below If not it means you have 200 or less in NN chips, GO DONK IT OFF SOMEWHERE AND STOP READING. -----------------------------Roulette 12----------------------------------- If you have divide your chips by 12 and get a number larger than 100, you should make your next bet as shown below, where the amount is the answer of your chips/12 rounded down to the nearest hundred, lets call it (bet12) ![]() On the number 0, you should then bet an amount of (bet12)/3, do note that the minimum denomination for NN chip is RM100, as such, do top up with cash chips if the figure comes out to be in its tens. ------------------------------Roulette 6-------------------------------------- If you have divide your chips by 6 and get a number larger than 100, you should make your next bet as shown below, where the amount is the answer of your chips/6 rounded down to the nearest hundred, lets call it (bet6) ![]() On the number 0, you should then bet an amount of (bet6)/6, do note that the minimum denomination for NN chip is RM100, as such, do top up with cash chips if the figure comes out to be in its tens. ------------------------------Roulette 3-------------------------------------- ![]() If you have divide your chips by 3 and get a number larger than 100, you should make your next bet as shown below, where the amount is the answer of your chips/3 rounded down to the nearest hundred, lets call it (bet3) On the number 0, you should then bet an amount of (bet3)/12, do note that the minimum denomination for NN chip is RM100, as such, do top up with cash chips if the figure comes out to be in its tens. Doing the above will ultimately leave you with cash chips and no more than 200 NN chips. -------------------------How to convert cash vouchers to CASH MONEY--------------------- Go to any table in the International Room, change your cash warrant for cash chip, walk to nearest cage counter, change cash chips for cash money. -------------------------Why not baccarat but roulette?--------------------- In baccarat commission is 5%, roulette you lose 1/37 each time you bet on all numbers which comes out to be 2.7% But baccarat is 5% commission on banker only, making a total bet on both banker and player will mean that you get hit with only 2.5% commission on your total bet. Yes, the above is true, if you bet 1000 on player and 1000 on banker you get hit with 50 commission on banker's win and no commission on player's win, this ends up as 2.5% in the long run. However, this also presents an uncertainty, what if banker gets a run of 5 wins in a row, this means your total commission paid to "roll" your chips is 5%, on the flipside if player has a run of wins you will be paying 0 commission to "roll" your chips. Isnt this then akin to gambling? Why not then just play out the chips and either double up or nothing. Alternatively, why not pay 0.2% more and eliminate variance. Article contributed by slkia |
