MACAU, CHINA, January 14, 2013 – Monday's action at the Macau Poker Cup (MPC) saw one event finish while another tournament got started at the PokerStars Macau tournament room.

The challenging Event 2: $4,000 Mixed Max was won by China's Ted Wang who beat the field of 58 players and collected HKD $66,800 for his victory.

The Top 7 players made the money for a piece of the HKD $202,536 prize pool.

Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang made the final table in the event that tested the competitors' all-around game. The tournament began in standard full ring format before switching to 6-handed play when only 36 players remained. The final four would finish the event in a series of heads up play.

Huang just missed the heads up round and finished in 5th place.

In Final Four play, Taiwan's Yi Po Lee quickly dispensed of Iranian Mansour Khorramshahi 2-0 in the best-of-3 match-up.

Ted Wang took a much longer path as he fell behind 0-1 to Russian Goergy Belyanin before making a big comeback several hours later to win the series 2-1.

Khorramshahi and Belyanin decided to split the prize money for 3rd and 4th place instead of playing the consolation match. They each received HKD $$25,350.

Wang drew first blood in the Final Match by winning the first game but Lee tied the heads up battle after claiming the second to force a tie-breaker.

After more than 6 grueling hours of heads up play between them, Wang got all-his chips in with QQ vs. Lee's AJ and the pocket queens held to cripple the Taiwanese player to only 600 chips -- less than the small blind.

Wang would finish things off holding an unlikely final hand of 6c-3h that beat Lee's Qc-9c.

The board ran 6h-3c-Kh-Ah-Th giving the Chinese player the flush along with the much deserved title.

Ted Wang made the money in both Event 1 and 2.
