Higher limits or higher number of tables

Postby lytefunk » Tue Apr 16, 2013 3:46 pm

Hey guys, I had this question at the back of my mind for sometime, so might as well see what you guys think about it.

Assuming a person with $500 bankroll and relatively breakeven to slight negative profile.

If a conservative bankroll management is used, does it make sense for a person to play a higher limit table (ie, NL5 to NL20, single or double tables), vs a higher volume (ie, NL1 or NL2, 6 to 8 tables)

My logic is that when you multi table, you tend to let a lot of plays go if they are marginal. So in terms of progress, it might make sense to play lesser tables, but at a decent limit.

In the lower levels, I guess there are quite a number of reckless players, so it might not be the best place to learn poker techniques?
