THE END OF POKERSTARS!!!!

Postby Frudo » Sat Nov 30, 2013 3:56 pm

It's been a long journey. Played poker and learned from experience in Stars for 4 years. Now it's the End. Useless to carry on as does not know when the Government gonna ban and when that happens, all the funds Kenna trapped... Also useless to use other VPN or connect from overseas as Stars always, I mean thru experience, always let the one with low connection die first! Connect from sing to oversea proxy then to stars will definitely be low connection.

Well it's been a long journey but have learnt that it's time to stop coz lost too much and wasted too much time too. I mean how many of you guys are really not in the Red since you played till now. Not many I guess.

So I will make the correct choice to stop now rather than losing all the funds in the account when the Goverment announced... Good Luck my fellow kakis , Time to move to live games.

I've been playing online poker as a source of income since 2006, its been a long journey and I'm pretty upset about the garmen's decision to ban poker. At first I thought the ban would only include sites that provide sports betting and casino betting, what caught me by surprise is them including poker and the ban happening much earlier than I expected.

Without online poker I guess I will have to go look for a full time job again, being out of the work force for close to 1.5 years I think it would not be easy for me.

I've decided to cash out most of my pokerstars fund, keeping just 1k so that I can occasionally play some low stakes SNGs.

GG and take care everyone

I'd like to be a little optimistic here and say that keeping your funds on stars should be safe. I mean, if they could repay US players even when they aren't allowed into the US as of now, I don't think a small country like Singapore should matter to them, and they should be able to pay us back no matter what. Besides, what's a few cents to stars when they can buy FTP for USD$1 Billion?

repay I think is will ba, but I just worried a repeat of what happened to party poker in 2007
Singaporeans were banned completely from party poker without advance notice
I remember that I couldn't even login to the party poker client at all

if they return the funds in full, will take a long time, quite troublesome~ so maybe easier to just keep a smaller bankroll online?

also I think to cash out or not depends on your profile too
if you are a casual player with a few hundred bucks on PS, I think its probably fine to leave it there
but if you are playing for a living and have like a 5 figure bankroll online, you may think differently in regards to the risk involved

Seems like all are too addicted to gambling and not be rational. Wait for things to happen, but do not know when is the most suck thingy. Surely you will end up a Sucker one...
