Cambodia = Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville

I was in PP and played at Nagaworld a few days. A 3 table room that at the best of times gets 2 tables running. Mostly 1/2 with the occasional 2/5. The 1-2 plays like a lively 2/5 game or better.

I heard of a new room down in Sihanoukville at the Queenco Casino so jumped a taxi and went down. Beautiful 4 table room run by 2 expats. Very well run. They will spread whatever but when I was there all 1/2. Played again like a lively 2/5 especially late at night. Tournaments everyday except Sunday at 4 PM and the cash games start +- 7 PM. Mostly expats that live there (many and diverse) and tourists with the occasional local player. On occasion groups of locals come down from PP. Excellent dealers, quick and very few mistakes. IMHO very much better than Naga.

Is there any difference in living costs in Sihanoukville? You said you got in a taxi... is it that close?

The Taxi ride from PP to Sihanoukville takes about 3.5 hours. Cost for a single is US 55-60. You can share a taxi or jump a bus for 8-10.

RE the cost of living I can't comment as I don't live there. IMO though I would stay in Sihanoukville. Much better poker room and more enjoyable place to live from what I am told. You can get or do most anything you want there.
