Pineapple Coaching ("really got such thing meh?") EDITED

Postby wesleyX » Thu Nov 12, 2015 5:40 am

Yes, you read that right!
For poker-lovers, Pineapple Open Face Chinese Poker is the hip new side game, a nonrake selfdeal game that you can play with 1-2 friends at home without disturbing housemates and neighbours. This thread is targeted at anyone who wishes to get better in the game. If you find that your friends seem to win more often than you, or they seem to follow some "standard formula", then you have come to the right thread.

Pls read on/ comment only if:
- you know what this game is
- you play for real money
- you agree that this game is not 100% luck

About me:
I'm a holdem enthusiast, who has studied extensively the game of Pineapple and played profitably at stakes of $1 all the way to $20. The game brought me to the WSOP in Vegas, where I paid 3K+ total in hourly dealer fees (30/hr) and still made over 2K playing $10/pt pineapple, equivalent of making 500 points in a home game where there're no fees.
I've also won 10,000 points against real opponents on the ABC app, and over 5,000 points in home games in Singapore this year.
"Who is this guy, and how do i know he is legit?" - the poker community is small, I can probably find a mutual friend who can convince you that my claims are legit.

EDIT: After this post was made in November 2015, the following month I went to play in the TonyBet OFC World Championships which is basically a bunch of pineapple tournaments held in Prague, Czech Republic. For the AA16 event, I min cashed (http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=459788&_ga=1.90768024.302784365.1451974798).
For the Main Event, I was the bubble boy. (http://www.pokernews.com/tours/ofc-world-championship/2015-tonybet-ofc/main-event/chips.131931.htm)
Price has been revised to 100/hr.

What the course will be about
- fundamental strategy and 5-card openings
- how to set Fantasyland, and when not to refan
- how to find the best line to enter Fantasyland
- how to calculate EV of our draw on the spot (*most important part of the course*)
- how to adjust our starting 5, in position
- adjusting to other variants: progressive pine and 2-7 pine (optional)
- several spots and hand histories
- private notes and video materials will be provided

Details
- 1-to-1 guidance, can arrange if you wish to bring another friend along for the lesson
- skyping/face-to-face lessons are both ok and can be arranged
- hourly charge of $100, minimum 2 hours/lesson or 1 hour/skype lesson

Parting words
I know the charges may seem very high , but if you're a pine hobbyist, chances are you have seen how fast thousands of chips can change hands in this cutthroat game. Knowledge is gold and with fewer mistakes you can improve your session win rate.
In this game, there is no folding so we gotta play the hands we are dealt, and I specialize in optimizing those lousy,sure-lose hands. I feel that after taking lessons, it won't take too long to become competent; a poker player should have no problem "graduating" after a few hours.

hello maurice
ive been experiencing about 5 points an hour against regulars who aren't super strong. Or something like 0.2 pts a hand over a long run.
and pretty unlimited against the occasional fish who hasn't learned any fundamentals

Bump... I'm back after hiding in uni for a few months.
Edited to show my not-too-good pineapple tournament track record at the OFC world championships.
Teaching a new candidate tomorrow - he could be one your opponents ;)
