One of my friends always takes deep breath when he made a "leap-of-faith" decision... either trying to bluff or not sure of his cards... I usually catch that.

Polarize you range.... this is so important.

Tells are good and all.... but thats just the second step.

The first one is betting patterns and hand-ranges, and hence we want to have our betting patterns in check (you always bet the exact same amounts or atleast not vary it because you semi-bluff or not etc.) and you polarize your range (you will bluff-raise and add some hands into your pre-flop raise range from time to time which make no sense)

You will quickly become unreadable...
Now if you have a poker face your opponents will give up. They won't be able to tell when you have something or not... and will just go to showdown vs you with premium holdings which is very very profitable for us :)

3. Change your betting movements if you have to. It's just like shifting your gears of your vehicle and changing it's speed. - I agree.

Hahahha.... Nothing above can beat this method.

Just play without seeing your hole cards pre-flop. Sure no one can read you, not even yourself. If no one bet on the flop, don't see just bet again. Hahah.... Seow !
