Postby slowplayer » Fri Mar 13, 2009 10:51 pm

Hi there!

Does anyone know if there are texas holdem games in the casinos of Paris? I know paris has 8 casinos and please don't ask me travel to monaco's monte carlo which is like 6 hours away by train!

Going there first time next month... hope to play some poker with the french. =) [As] [Ks] [Qs] [Js] [Ts]

You should go aviation club in george V and stay in atala hotel which is nearby ,best hotel for $200 euro/night category or perfect hotel (a hostel for like $30 euro a night).

Hi bro, I believe you need to be a member first before you can gain access to the Aviation club in Paris.
I think its Euro100 for a 1 year membership. Check out their website:-

Cheers!!

yup.. the aviation club is the way to go if you wanna play poker there
you do have to pay a member ship fee of 100 euros (valid for one year). i paid it even though i was only in paris for 4 days, but it is so worth it
the rake is pretty steep there though... at the 5/5 nl table i was playing.. it was a 25 euro table charge per hour -- i played about 3x 8 hour sessions so it worked out to be 600 euros i paid them in rake (which is much more than the entry fee)

at the lowerlimit tables, they dont have a time charge but rake the pot (which is still pretty hefty anyway). the upside is that at least half of the players are businessmen/ or tourists which means a decent amount of dead money on the table.

oh and if you have to eat at the table.. stay away from the steak... though it was too good to be true under 15 euros but it was horrible. have fun there!
