Postby felixleong » Sat Mar 14, 2009 12:31 pm

You guys here mostly play online or live games? and why?

I almost play online only, would like to play live games but unfortunately no day games in the west.

only play for 1c/2c online. the limits for live games are usually like 100NL? too big for me. lol

Live SNG sounds kinda wierd to me. Live MTT with low buyin are kinda rare in Singapore too. i meant buy in <$50

I am still getting used to 25nl so online for me. I feel bad losing a $50 pot online so I cannot imagine buying in for $100 yet hehe.

Live game anytime. been playing in star city 100NL. but i personally enjoy Melbourne Poker room. :) the minimum is 2/3 80-200 buy in. :)
have totally quitted online as i don't really feel comfortable playing alone with my PC. :P you never know there would be 4 friends in a online table knowing each others hands and roll the others....
anyone in sydney? :)

online everyday for me... only played live about 4x thrice in vegas and once in paris

even though you can multi table online, i feel there is more information to be processed live--- plus you have the option of buying in with no cap in some areas.. making the game much more interesting than the 100bb standard buy in online

live is definitely more exciting than online cash/tourney. But online is more lucrative to grind.

to each his own indeed!

although, only in live games can you attempt to read your opponents' tells
where you can table-talk, socialise, make friends and see real-life donk calls and monster reads
where the table will be enthralled by some crazy shit that happens occasionally, like 3 way all-ins with 3 players holding the nuts;
witness players with bad blood have a go at each other at the table;
5 way all-ins on a heated table;
and the satisfaction of felting your opponent and telling him in the face, 'F*** OFF!!' and making him tilt.

only in live games, baby!

Definitely Online. More hands per hour + can type stupid things in chatbox like "Ownage, Fk off! etc."

But live games has its fun too, you have your stack of chips to riffle with, can socialise, the table-talk, stare-downs, deal-making.

To each and its own.

Yeah live games are the land of action packed pots, those multi way all-in pots are sooo exciting to play or watch~
Sadly hor nowadays its really so hard to find such action online :(

Although live games really very few hands per hour, say 30 hands per hour? But there's really so much more "feel" to the game then online poker, which I just click my boring mouse the entire day ~

It's easier to leave a table after a bad beat online... Live games u'll be very tempted to continue (losing).
