If you think of a x,y axis chart with y = agressive,passive and x= Tight, Loose
You can split the gamestyle of players into generally 4 categories

TAG|LAG
-----------
TAP|LAP

TAG = Tight & Agressive
LAG = Loose & Agressive
TAP = Tight & Passive
LAP = Loose & Passive

TAG & LAG is winning plays so usually people just give the standard name or "Shark", "Manic caller"
TAP & LAP are usually losing players so given derogatory names such as Fish,Donkey (LAP), rock (TAP), Calling Stations are pple who will keep drawing cards for flush/straight... or just won't give up their hands.

so tight is like those who play only ( for e.g.)

In early position, only play:

* High Pairs: Ace-Ace, King-King, Queen-Queen, Jack-Jack
* High Suited Cards: Ace-King, Ace-Queen, King-Queen, Ace-Jack, King-Jack, Queen-Jack, Jack-10
* High Unsuited Cards: Ace-King, Ace-Queen, King-Queen

In middle position, you can also play:

* High Suited Cards: Ace-10, King-10, Queen-10
* High Unsuited Cards: Ace-Jack, Ace-10, King-Jack, etc.
* Middle Pairs: 10-10, 9-9, 8-8

In late position you can add:

* Suited connectors, such as 9-10, 7-8, etc.
* Small pairs all the way down to 2s
* Ace-littles: A-8, A-6

Then Loose players plays like 5 7 off suit in early position etc ?

Then Passive player checks or calls only ? Aggressive player raises often ? like do continuation bet / check raises etc ?

thanks for chipping in !

Yup... exacly.

Loose players play more loosely maybe late game cards at early position... doesn't mean 57 off suit (that's extreme).
