playing small stakes tournaments and sit and goes online is very simple. dont do too many moves as the donkeys will have no idea what you are representing. just play ABC poker

Beginning Stages:

play super tight. limp in with small pairs, call 2x raises at the most. if you hit your set, play it fast, meaning bet it strong. if you dont, check fold. play premium hands strong, raise big preflop with aces, kings, queens and AK. not so much AQ and AJ. as most seasoned players will tell you, AQ and AJ are garbage hands and are easily dominated. unless you are in late position, fold QJ, KJ and KQ, especially if they are offsuit.

Middle Stages:

hopefully you have amassed a nice stack now are hovering around the average stack size. continue your tight image but open your game slightly to include suited face cards. play these cards cautiously as they are very easily dominated. if you think you are beat at any point, fold. also you will see alot of oppporunities to make big hands, so if the pot is offering you a good price, go ahead and chase that big draw.

Bubble Stages:

This is the stage right before people make the money. People here will usually play tighter and allow you to steal alot. This is the chance to amass more and more chips on your way to the money. Dont hesitate to play your small pairs big by shoving. Semi bluff with draws. But try and target stacks that can afford to fold and those who seem to play especially tight.

ITM:

Now you have made the money, what to do? Play like the beginning stages and now is the time to make moves and get more chips in order for you to dominate the final table. Call with suited connectors, small pairs. When you hit the flop, punish your opponents. Now is the time to make bluffs and plays because good players will remain and will understand and actually notice your moves.

Final Table:

Congratulations, you have made the Final Table. Big money awaits you. But how do you get it? SImple, play your stack. Small Stack? Wait for a big hand and shove pre. Patience is the key. Mid stack? Play like the middle stages but be on the look out for short stacks that will shove. Big Stack? Bully the table into submission. Announce your presence. Whenever I enter the table as a chip leader, I rarely bust out worst than 3rd. The trick is to avoid traps because all stacks smaller than yours are looking to double up through you. But no matter which stack you are, the trick is to pick your spots and to be selectively aggressive. Never reraise a tight player, they have you beat. Never call a raise from an aggressive player, they will bet the flop, no matter what comes out. Play ABC poker here, and make moves when you think your opponent will fold. If you are wrong, take notes and ask yourself why they called. Ask yourself how you could have played the hand differently.

These are some of the basic fundamentals of how tournament poker is played. This is how I play, and by no means is the only correct way to play. You dont have to do what I say exactly, use it as a blueprint or guide for your tourney game as well. Experiment and keep learning. Watch good players online and see what they do.

Good luck all and see you at the tables!

Played 2 SnG(18ppl) and make it to final table. Both came in 5th! Die on the bubble!

First time got beaten at the river
2nd time got beaten at the Turn

Feel damn pissed.
