well obviously he thought you were on a flush draw and was representing a big pair or overpocket. He had a gutshot straight draw and he probably thought that his 10 high flush was good.
He would have shoved on the flop too so yeah.
But i think it was a bad play for the re-reraises. I think after a 3 or 4 bet. you should just flat call. he could have had a made hand . something like [Ts] [Js] or [Ts] [Jh] basically just made hand. and if you missed your flush you kinda would be dead

gau, you read wrongly, they only start re-re raising after they both got a flush hand, but a 40-40 re-re raise is....
