June 15th 2010, some poker pros will come for the grand opening of the poker room. don't expect big names but you may know them or find them on Google.

There will be 5/10, 10/20 (NL, PL and Limit), future plans for a 5/10 PLO (omaha)

Live straddle is allowed, no side bets or prop bets.

Running it more than once is okay. Twice or thrice or until the cards run out. However no deals, chopping the pot, etc. Chop your opponent with an axe is also not allowed.

There will also be hot model in sexy outfits giving massages at 2 SGD per minute, and can feed you grapes, and cheer for you when you are in a big pot.

Of course, most of the information above are just rumours. (well, all of them) but for Pete's sake, someone give us some real info!

but barcarrat tables are good though :p

anyway.. jus wondering why rws's carribean stud poker
when their dealer does not have any hands to play,
they do not check the players card for jackpot.
meaning tht if their hand are not played and u have a royal flush u will not get paid the jackpot??

for carribean stud. some dealers don't check your cards if you didn't tell them to when they have no hand. doing that is just to speed up the deal.

Poker would come soon on both the casino. they're still fine-tuning their operation and as poker is not a hugh money generating game for casino. their priority would be put at the back.
I'm looking at a good one year later before they start setting up poker room and having APT and APPT in their casino. :)

RWS poker table ..... coming soon ..... counting down, weeks to go.

Tournament this year ??? No.
Tournament next year ??? not likely, becos there is a 30% taxation on the prizepool.

THere were rumors about openning last month ....but nothing happened
Their support keeps telling me the same thing:

"Dear Sir/ Mdm,

Greeting from Resorts World Sentosa.

We do apologize but the Texas Hold em Poker is not available yet we are still waiting for authority's approval."

But the texas holdem license is listed here:
http://www.cra.gov.sg/LEFTTAB1/Pages/GameRules.html

So does anyone has some reliable information about the Poker Room openning?

Thanks in advance,
Valentin

We spoke with the Media Relations Department at RWS, and it seems the delayed opening of the poker room is more an operational than regulatory issue. Apparently, they want to stabilise regular table game operations before opening the poker room. We'll keep the community posted if anything happens.
