Postby cianopher » Wed Jan 27, 2010 2:56 am

Going to macau in 2 weeks time.

and looking for live low-stakes poker rooms.

been researching here and there and came out with:

grand lisboa, wynn, diamond casino(holiday inn) and grand waldo.

any more?

i'll be staying at grand lapa (mandarin oriental)

p.s. the lowest stakes there should be 10/20 HKD am i right? which is like $2/$4 SGD

Apart from what you have mentioned, Starworld and Venetian also have poker room. Lowest stake from hkd$10/20. Good luck.

Just came back from there last dec, min stakes is like 10/20 at the lisboa and 10/25 at the wynn. As I only played at the lisboa, buy-in is from 1k-3k HKD. Dealer was good and had a great time there. Also visited the wynn and environment-wise, Wynn is more classy.

GL (10/20) and Wynn (10/25) both have regular games running 24/7, at peak period, there may be a waiting list at Wynn though.

Overall, both rooms have great service and good dealer, Wynn slightly edging it in terms of class and also slightly looser play (imo).

If service and dealer is your thing.....give Ventian a pass pls.....

Chris boy,

just try Wynn and Lisboa Grand will do .....if you can turn on your grinding mode, your Macau trip is free. Have a nice vacation.

Any hotel recommendations near Wynn / Grand Lisboa?

I'm looking to book a holiday there in December, go over and gamble as a family and (finally) play some poker in a casino.

Just some basic amenities I guess, clean decent rooms, buffet breakfast, maybe wi-fi. 3 - 3.5 stars+? Don't see us spending much time in the rooms if we're out playing anyway.
