Its Universal Studios theme park is still on schedule to open in the first quarter of this year.

In a statement filed with the Singapore Exchange, Genting said the rides at the theme park are still being fine—tuned.

The casino will admit its first public guests at the auspicious hour of 12.18pm, with a private ceremony.

A day of festivities at the integrated resort has been planned to mark the red—letter day, including the debut of its public attraction "Lake of Dreams", and evening previews at its Universal Studios theme park.

Tan Hee Teck, CEO of Resorts World Sentosa, said the resort is still fine—tuning the rides and shows in the theme park, which are still on schedule to open in the first quarter of 2010.

But a week—long preview of the theme park will be conducted to give Singaporeans a special and unique first—to—see walk—through opportunity. The theme park’s restaurants and shopping venues will be open for guests, although rides and shows will not be operational.

Was there today... gambled for like 4+ hours.. made 5$ lol (annoying night, was always down somehow and I hate that feeling)
But let me tell you.. the food in the casino is awesome and cheap :)

They got Poker :D
But not operational yet.. the tables where there but it was closed. Staff couldn't tell me when it was open.

Anyway I saw NL1k and NL5k table. At the back there was one with the blind sign having a different color, but I couldn't read it.. so its probably Nl10k or Nl500.

Its just to keep out people who can't afford to play anyways. Hate seeing people gambling away their bank accounts.

if you want to go play poker.. what is 2k to you if lowest game is Nl1k?
2BI fee for 1 year...

keep the people who cant afford out? ridiculous

they will just go to the loansharks and borrow ... duh...

an addict can easily scrape together 2k for the yearly membership...

its just another PAP ploy to suck more cash out of singaproeans... ERP, COE, casino fee...

and singaporeans just sit around stupidly and accept being discriminated against in their own back yard
