Lost with quad sixes, won €128,000

Postby Lars - Diamondbet » Tue May 18, 2010 12:43 am

Most poker players prefer to win rather then lose. Especially when sitting with quad sixes. But for hoerb08 this bad beat ended with a rather good ending, considering he cashed in on a whopping €128,000, which is over $165,000.

On poker network Boss Media (IPN), where Diamondbet Poker is located, poker players can play on special Bad beat Jackpot tables. If someone is (un)lucky enough to lose with quad sixes or better, he or she will be rewarded with the bad beat jackpot. Players sitting on the same table when the jackpot hits, will also be rewarded with parts of the jackpot. In this case the jackpot was won on a NLHE €100 table on Thursday night last week.

hoerb09 who won €128,594, held [6d] , [6s]
MilanisBak who won the hand and was rewarded with €64,297, held [8c], [7c].

Flop: [6c], [Qs], [5c]
Turn: [9c]
River: [6h]

Four other players who was playing at the table at the time was rewarded €16,074.25.

The new jackpot started out Thursday night with €75,000.

Play on Diamondbet via Poker Kaki and get the piece of the action on the Badbeat Jackpot Tables.

I think your hand doesn't qualify for the jackpot, since villian's quad T only uses 1 of his hole cards?

Mmh, true. Usually one need to use both whole cards to be qualified to the jackpot. And be playing on a cash game jackpot table as well if we are going into details. But, hey... loosing with quads really hurts no matter on a cash game or in tournament...

I've remember one session I was playing NL100, 200bb buy-in, on the same table I was loosing with top full house against quads, twice! Second time when i was sitting with pocket Kings on the board.

Flop: K,8,3
Turn, 5
River 8

Villain re-raised all-in on the river. I was almost hundred % sure that he had quads. But it's impossible to fold full house imo.
It sure hurts losing, no matter what.. Hehe.

(Ok if you have a bad beat jackpot it's okay)
