as shown, having a pair is the 2nd worst hand. so don't over vaule your top pair top kicker.

Good is a rather subjective word..

If you mean fluent enough to figure out what wins what... then 1-2 session of poker games should do it
If you mean break-even and don't lose or win much... maybe a 10000 hands Online (doable in a month) or average 3-4mths real life
If u mean winning player (wins 70% of the time) then years of practice.
