what will you do?...

Postby p1aya11hands » Fri Oct 15, 2010 8:44 am

ok. here's how the situation. Its a live game,blinds £0.25/0.50. a 9 people table.
Im on the button with QQ. Everyone just flat calling so i raised to £3.50 on the button, all folds except big blind and someone in the middle position called, like +2 or +3.

Pot is £11.25. Flop came 5 7 8 rainbow. Check check so i bet £7 more. big blind called, and the next one reraise to £15. i shoved all in for £25, big blind folded and the guy called with his remaining £5 more (basically i got him covered). he showed A 8, thought i was winning with my QQ and turn shows an Ace, and river came another Ace...runner runner house!!

Im basically stunned for 5 secs and left the table with a forceful smile ( lol).

But hey, thinking back to my play, i was trying to figure out what went wrong for me to suffer such a suck out. Perhaps i should just check call till the river to minimize my damage? or am i doing the right thing, but just unlucky?

Any opinions and thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.

No offence but when you get the money in as a huge favorite you don't need to ask if you made a mistake here. You did everything right so keep playing like this and on the long term you'll win in this situation.

hmm depend on the HUD stats, if he loose, he might be well in range connector. i may fold to 3bet when the board look dangerous.

But overall, you are still doing right. just bad luck. keep it going, u will win in long term.

Don't worry.

Same hand play over again and again.

Regardless of you are holding the "QQ" or "A8", end result would be the same..... all-in and A8 win.

You are doing all right but unlucky, thats all, move on to next hand.
