Three of a kind = Set / Trips

Set = 2 on your hand /holecards / , one on board
Trips = 1 on your hand , 2 on board.

In this case , its trips

One the flop the effective stack sizes = around $3

http://www.thepokerbank.com/strategy/general/spr/

SPR = $3/1.8 = low SPR ratio
its a good flop to get it in as he could have the 6X , straight draw, even if he has the 7 , you have like 8 % chance to draw out with 2 ace left in the deck.
by pushing , you could also get value from 88-KK , maybe even 22-55 if you have a non believer

either way , well played

Yep, this is an easy call. He will very rarely have trip 7s or a set of 6s. Most of the time he has 99-JJ

considering he re-raised the raiser preflop, i was more worried abt 66 than 7x, altho likely JJ-KK, if not split pot wif AA. if 77 then kthxbai headwall. was a very sick hand. ok, gonna take the next 5 hrs to digest chenghao's link :ugeek:

How often does people actually 3bet preflop with 66/77?

In that situation its snap call the all in on the flop... flop is 677, only hand that beats you is 66 or 7-X... and if he calls a large 3 bet preflop with either hand its a pretty weird play...

On the other hand there are lots of cards that he can shove with, that your Aces dominate... PLUS it only costs you additional 1.33 to call and the pot already has almost 7 dollars in it...

Seeing the history, it was quite a cooler... QQ against KK against AA. Most people in villain's position would bust themselves.
