well there was nothing wrong preflop, but i would've preferred to bet the flop taking into account everyone limped preflop and it is entirely possible someone had some part of the flop and you want them to call you light with a lousier hand or at least pay to draw (AT, T9, KQ, JQ). that said, i highly doubt you were going to fold that hand on the turn... just unfortunate that the turn was nasty.

well, my reasoning is why push when u are already beat? I too would bet the flop, but no way i would have check pushed the turn when there is a possible straight out there

on flop u have the nuts, u dont bet
on turn 2 str8s and set of JJs beat u, u check push, u try to trap but kena trap urself ha ha

Seems pretty standard, you decided to slowplay on the flop by check calling, and villian hits his straight on the turn. nh wp

This reminded me of a hand I played in macau recently.. Set of 10 lost to a straight all in.. But different is he got his straight on the river.
Raised him 3BB preflop and he called. Flop came out 4 6 10. He raised, and I all in him and he called. Turn was a K and river was a 2. Guess no need to say wat he was holding..

I really dun see wat u did wrong except maybe u could have raise him after the flop instead of just calling.. At least even if he had a drawing hand, he will think abit before commiting..
Just my personal humble opinion..

again, nothing wrong with your preflop play, calling to see a cheap flop.. but i guess myself and eleester agree that raising or check raising the flop would have probably been the better play. you dont want to undervalue your hand, at the same time you want your opponent to re-evaluate his hand.

I would check-raise the flop since he betted out for me ? make it atleast 2-2.5x raise instead of flat calling, well the turn really sucked out on you even if he'd push you, i don't think you are folding anywhere near there.

just my 2cents worth

Actually just to add on, there is no the best way to play the hand. Some ppl prefer to slow play and trap., some prefer to rush and hope opponents call their all in. Well if u succeed, you are a genius and good play, if you fail, then too bad.. Too many variables to play the same hand, but isn't tat wat make poker fun, you have to adapt to the different conditions.

I am also trying to learn more about poker, so maybe we can share pointers to improve our games.

Nothing wrong with shoving the turn, there are so many hands you beat in that spot and the fish will still call.
