Looking for a poker protégé

Postby Sapiens86 » Fri Jan 21, 2011 9:22 pm

I am looking for a protégé which whom I will coach and mentor to move up through the NLHE stakes. Besides technical strategies, I will impart soft skills such as bankroll management, emotions, tilt control, handling variance etc. There is NO fee involved. My protégé will receive coaching and mentoring free of charge.

A little about myself: I am currently a fulltime uni student. Discovered poker 3 years ago and began to take it seriously. Spend time to learn the basics and slowly move up through the stakes from nl10 to nl1k. One of my best strengths is my multi-tabling capability and solid understanding of the fundamentals.

This is my PT3 stats and graph since jan 2010.

generally i think fullring is easier than 6max for beginners as u get into marginal spots less often

Wow... Won $67,000 by being a rock... And that's actually a big achievement in just a year. Also your results are pretty consistent other than a few swings in variance I guess. It's really nice of you to coach without any fee. But may I ask why are you doing that without getting anything back in return?

I was asking the same question when he first offered to help me , what sort of motive could he have ?

But by helping others , it helps to crystalise your own ideas about various spots , by helping others , you could possibly learn a few spots you might have otherwise overlooked

Hi All,
How do I go about tracking my stat as shown above? I'm a fairly new player, mostly on FT.

Thanks,
S

with help from tracking tools like Pokertracker 3 , Hold em Manager , poker office 5 ( google for them)

another possible reason would be : when u play , u dun spend all 12 hours a day grinding , some people grind for 1 - 2 hours then take a break in between , cos its a mentally taxing activity , so in between break time , he could help his protege without having a detrimental effect to his game
