Raised on button with A3 and got re-raised by a tight blind , so I fold
Few hands later raised in mid position w 88 and got re-raised by the same guy , fold again
Few hands later came this

PokerStars Game #16784490793: Tournament #84460343, $50+$5 Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (50/100) - 2008/04/16 - 22:25:55 (ET)
Table '84460343 121' 9-max Seat #7 is the button
Seat 1: lance814 (3905 in chips)
Seat 2: RaineTech (9810 in chips)
Seat 3: gsmalls30 (5160 in chips)
Seat 4: GtownGambler (6525 in chips)
Seat 5: eBo226 (2175 in chips)
Seat 6: Telecommuter (7105 in chips)
Seat 7: biggies05 (6040 in chips)
Seat 8: wmmcl (2100 in chips)
Seat 9: pipi486 (3523 in chips)
wmmcl: posts small blind 50
pipi486: posts big blind 100
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to pipi486 [Ac Qs]
AQ, finally a nice hand to play back

lance814: folds
RaineTech: folds
gsmalls30: calls 100
GtownGambler: folds
eBo226: folds
Telecommuter: calls 100
biggies05: folds
wmmcl: folds
pipi486: raises 500 to 600

Usually I'll raise 400-600 here, more often towards 4 or 5 xBB
here I'll raise a bit more because I'm been involved in a little more hands then usual recently, hoping my opponents give me less respect for a decent hand.

gsmalls30: calls 500

He calls, sadly I do not have any reads on him. So I've have to play straightforward I guess

Telecommuter: folds
*** FLOP *** [6d 6h 8h]

I really like this flop, probably missed him very often

pipi486: bets 800

A bet near 2/3 the pot, same as how I would bet my flushdraw or mid/big pair
Sometimes betting 1/2 pot too with the same hands.

gsmalls30: raises 800 to 1600

Ah... this really caught me! I'm not getting the right odds to call to draw my 6 outs (3A 3Q), so I had to fold. I'll probably put him at a medium pair or he's pretty loose can called the raise with SCs like 56s 67s 78s 89s

pipi486: folds
gsmalls30 collected 2950 from pot
gsmalls30: doesn't show hand

Feels so bad to lose like 40% of my stack, ah but oh well any other I could had played it more optimally?

Well, doing a C bet after flop is quite a standard move to test our opponents and find out where we are.
At times, I've seen some sneaky opponents tried to outplay us by raising with nothing and took down the pot.
So I could only say that it's about situation awareness out there.
The type of players are we playing against, players chip stacks and positional play.

His overall chip stack covered your stack though. He might be trying to outplay then. Or probably he indeed has some decent pocket pairs like 99-QQ(would be sick if he has 88 but i doubt so). He might be on a flush draw too.

Well, so many times I got busted just because I wanna seek for honesty. It's just too much price to pay for that.
Simply applying ABC poker for playing online tourneys is good enough. I would only try to outplay players when I have a deep stack, no way we can outplay opponents when we are short stack as there are just too many CURIOUS players out there.

Overall, I think you did the right move. As long as you still have chips, you still have a chance to crown the tourney.

Be mindful of your image, when your image is pretty bad (after getting your PF raise, reraised twice), sometimes it is okay to check fold (and not cbet) on a 886 double suited board because this is a board that ppl float and make plays aganist you. At these tournament limits (50+5), people are more observant and abuse their perceived image of you vs your actual holding.

Its alot different when board is JJ2 instead of 886. I have been making alot of CiB Click it Back plays on this kind of board if I'm raised, simply because on this board when someone raises your cbet, they are representing only a very narrow range.

Yeah players at this level are pretty more observant.
few orbits later my stack gone really low, about 6 M i think
4 players limper, SB complete and i shoved with A3s
4 earlier limpers fold and SB called me with KQs and I lost the flip
GG

I think I'm probably out match or have too little EV at this stake, gonna go back down to the $10-30 range MTTs and work on my game hahaha
