liptontea,

very bad play, but considering you are still new to poker, suggested that u should read up more strategy before going into action. u can refer to chenghao post at viewtopic.php?f=115&t=6373#p31247 for starting .

My comment that you do not know the basic of poker strategy, assumed that u know the basic how to play poker game but not strategy. strategy is all about getting information, which is your best weapon.

Happy pokering.

Use a hand converter to post your hands e.g. http://www.handconverter.com/

1 - it looks more concise
2 - your use name as well as your opponent's would be hidden , so no users would have reads on them
3 - it conceals the results , so whatever "advice" you get would be more objective.
4 - Post one hand per thread , so that people would know which hand do you want advice on

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/69/mi ... ds-430489/

under this thread , search for "Planning your hand" , of course , when u have the time , read all the other threads

Hi Liptontea,

The first hand, you made a couple of mistakes. First of all, you have a very strong hand on the flop. Do not be afraid to bet and raise aggressively. You have an open ended straight draw + a flush draw. This gives you a massive 15 outs to improve your hand. Even if your opponent has top set with QQ, you would have a big chance to win. One the turn, you made your flush! Play it strong! On the river, this 4th heart is a terrible card for you. You should definitely fold on the river. Given the action in front of you, it is fairly clear that at least one opponent has you beat.

The second hand is fine, given your stack sizes.

The third hand, this really isn't your pot. With 55, there are several over cards, and you really have a weak draw, as you are drawing to the ass end of a straight. Just fold the flop. IF you call the flop, you should definitely bluff the turn, as this card is a damn scary card to most hands, and you will fold out all of his weak hands. But, at micro-stakes, this kind of bluffing is not necessary. Most micro-stakes opponents will not fold overpairs.

Good luck with improving your game!
