KK vs JJ

Postby DeepAnarchy » Fri Mar 11, 2011 11:54 pm

so yesterday i was playing a no limit game, and held pocket kings. i raised, and got reraised by someone with jacks. i 4-bet him and he shoved after about 10 seconds of thinking. i snap called(we had almost identical stack sizes) and of course was glad to see that i had him dominated. deciding to run it twice, he hit a set on the first board, so i decided i was content with a chopped pot. i flopped a set on the second board, and he made a runner runner straight. so tilted after that i just decided to stop playing. hahah.

being the favorite to win 4 out of 5 times , this is the time where you lost (1/5) and you lost twice (1/5 x 1/5 = 1 /25)

after the hand i was thinking if i should have seen a flop, mightve been easier to get him off his jacks postflop?

This kinda sounds like the pokerstars BIG GAME where the amateur hits 3 times out of 4 runs with phil helmuth... where he went bursting soon haha... well I have my aces being crushed by jacks most of the time.
