How to dodge this kind of gay bullets

Postby CML » Mon May 12, 2008 2:35 am

Was playing at 50c/$1 live game and i lost fking big amts with these hands. How to dodge these Bullets??

Villian was very loose as he already lost more den 1.2k that nite.

I had [Kc] [Jc] i open the pot up for $6.50
2 callers and i was in position against both

Flop came [Qc] [Ts] [9c]

Perfect dream flop for me!

Villian checks, i bet out $20 he calls
Turn was [2c] he bets out $50 i call
River [5d] he bets out $200, i ponder and call, get showed [Tc] [Ac]

I had [Ah] [Ks] against the same opponent. He was bluffing heavily that night.
I made it $6.50 to go once again in late position and he juz calls.

Flop: [Ad] [Ac] [2s]

It was 3-way initially. Villian checks, i check, someone who had K2o bet out for $20, villian calls, i call.

Turn: [Th]

Villian bets $30, i call. I didnt want to raise here because i didnt want to get trap by pocket 2/10 and juz by calling to pot control, i was very deep and so was villian.

River: [2h]

Villian goes all in for $600+ more, he did this once when i showed great weakness, i was putting him either on just a single 2 or an ace so i called, thinking i either win/split.

He showed A 10.

This time i build my stack to about $200+ close to $300 with a $50 rebuy and wake up with pocket K when i was talking about aces!

Villian LIMPS, i to $6.50, he re-raises to $20, i re-raise to $50 in total and he makes it $100 to go.
I shove all-in for $200+ more he showed aces. Was it really obvious he really had them?

Comments anyone? I think i played 3 hands badly which costs me more den a thousand dollars.

P.S didnt lose 1k+ la, juz lost the big chip stack i won

1) no avoiding there. You could take down the pot by shoving on the flop, but of course you wanted value. In return, you gave him a chance to draw and he got there. I would probably raise the turn, but who am i kidding...no way i'm folding second nuts there to someone as loose as you describe(which is incredible...12 buyins?)

2)call 600 dollar bet with like the 10th nuts to win a small pot? You're nuts. You sensed a boat on the turn and forgot all about it on the river.

3) KK vs AA. Are you seriously asking us if you could get away there from a maniac?

Board: A A 2 2 10

I had A K.

Nut hands: AA - 22 - A10 - i had AK, had one Ace ruling out the posibility of someone who had pocket aces, technically i had the 3rd nuts. 10th?? Can tell me did i overlook anything...?

These hands are so standard.

Dont sweat over these hands, sweat over other areas in your game.

Thanks for the comfort leslie. I played very well that night, making crazy river calls and trapping opponents well. I was wondering if i really played these hands badly or what. I guess maybe i've never played such a big pot before so i couldnt think properly. 1k+ pot, never in my life. 16 years old 1k+ pot. How to handle the mental stress. I think im still too young zzz
