Need some advice.

Erm I'm thinking if I had overplayed my [Ad] [Kd] , I'm at UTG +2, Raised a standard 3 BB($1.20).
Mp fold
Mp +1 called
Mp + 2 called
CO called
Btn (villain) 3 Bet to ($7.20)
Blinds fold.
Villain is a loose guy that is able to make a move with almost any suited connectors.
And thinking that I might be out of position by just flat calling, i decided to 4 bet to ($18)
Now, he has a stack of 80 dollar , that is abut 70percent of my stack and the game is ending like in 4 more hand.
He 5 bet an all in, I called, and he had [Qc] [Tc]
got beat on an [Ac] [8h] [Qh] [Qd] [5h] board.
Did I made a wrong by calling his 5bet preflop?
Should I have just gone to the flop and maybe I might be able to lay the Ace to him on the river?

IMO, if you got a good read on him, which you did, you say he makes play with suited connectors and he really had a suited 1 gapper, it is not a bad move. I mean I would seldom call a 5 bet all in with AK because you likely to run into AA or KK. But you had a good read and you were leading PF, it was just an unlucky board for you. I feel you cant be result oriented in that sense. You got your money in good and just got unlucky.

Just my two cents worth=)

u have not over play ur hand, u had a read that ur AK is ahead of his range and u got ur mula in, its good.

just that u got bad beat, but its ok just mark that villain and move on! u can have all his mula in the further since he can actually 5bet with QT!

poker is a long term game, not base on just a hand!

there u go my 2cents!

Thanks a lot, there were people on the table saying I should have actually secure the winnings since the game is ending for the day.
Which kinda irritates me a lot, making me think that had I just over played it. lol

this is a very good spot for villain to sqz ,i just call and see a flop if i want to make a fishy player (mp1 or mp2) to stay in the pot ..if mp1 and mp2 are regs im almost 4beting every time knowing i m ahead of villain`s range .and once you 4bet ,youre commiting youreself to the pot.

You had a good read on him. You just got unlucky on this particular hand. Keep it up.
