Getting a PokerStars Account in Malaysia

Postby iastate » Thu Jul 21, 2011 8:31 pm

Hi all, I recently came back from the U.S. and was a PokerStars regular player. I have some questions regarding registering a PokerStars account in Malaysia. First, is it ok to put a Malaysia home address? I know I can no longer use my U.S. address. Second, how do you put deposit and transfer funds? Can you use Maybank2U? Or PayPal? Thanks!

Considering the fact that PokerStars are making the freerolls targeting players in Malaysia & Singapore, http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/promoti ... freerolls/, I would say you are perfectly fine to have your account addressed to your Malaysian one.

You can try using you maybank credit card to credit you PS accout. I manage to do that with my malaysia maybank Visa credit card. However, this was treated as a cash advance with cash advance fee of 5% charge to my credit card account.

paypal and almost all credit cards cannot wor. occasionally you'll have one or two that can go through. pokerstars used to accept western union but now no longer... your best bet is to buy from fellow kakis in malaysia. check on chat box for reliable sellers.

cheers...
