Good Article for Home Gamers Moving to Online

I started directly from online and rarely play live, so I'm curious about this question.
How tough is it to make the transition from live to online?

To me live is harder then online because hor
30 hands per hour = Total boredom
Man... I wished I started Live first before online, I still remember playing like over 1 year online liao then played my 1st LIVE GAME!!!
I only ended up going all-in pre flop in the dark like 5 times? each time for like $20-40 hahahaha
dunnoe why its so hard for me to play properly in live games, I cannot discipline myself and often end up playing like a maniac

Yea I like live games for the fun and interaction too. But its true that good money can be made in live games (due to the nature of the games) if you can play solidly and withstand the boredom of less than 30 hands / hr.

1) fun and interaction
2) capability of making money.

I think 2) comes before 1). It wont be fun if we cant make money of this game, or think we can beat others up in this game.

would u play monopoly instead of poker, since it has social interaction as well, but without the money?

Hm.. to me, I believe its contradicting for myself to play for fun and make $$ at the same time.
Usually my goal is just to make $$, if I want to have fun then I do not think of profit
Well maybe I've been playing too much that its become like a job, nowadays its really hard for me to find leisure in playing poker.

please advise~

On a clear EV standpoint, obviously you should play the type of games which gives u the best hourly rate (not winrate per say). To some people making money is fun, while to others, playing with them face to face and dont mind losing money is fun as well. To each of his own.

However back to the main topic, its true that online players are generally tougher and they would do okay when transitioning into live games, but not necessarily the other way around. Reasons are up for discussions.
