is this collusion?

Postby MJFX » Wed Oct 19, 2011 12:58 am

Playing a freeroll in APPT Macau phase 1, close to bubble time.
Seat 1 and Seat 4 both from Uzbekistan. involve in seemingly collusion act.
Anyone understand the speech?

i couldnt resist and told them off for the obvious act and lack of respect.
i got onto their nerves and the chipleader knocked me out in the end, calling my 8BB shove, (AJ<Q9).. lol.
(just before that folding his small blind with 2BB to call his fellow mate's shove from cut off)
Btw, the other short stack was tilted by me -> bubbled.

its a funny game.

outright blatant collusion!!! you should attach the hand history and email report to support. check with DM101 more about this. i think he has reported something similar before and pokerstars will act accordingly... (",)

p.s. remember do it fast before they are unable to reverse anything

Hello Lim,

Thank you for your report.

The integrity of our games is of utmost importance to PokerStars, and we employ a large team of Poker Specialists who investigate all collusion reports received from our players.

We have forwarded your email to a Poker Specialist for review. They will undertake an extensive investigation into any relationship and past play between these players. Please allow them some time to research this issue as it may take several days if the case is particularly complex.

You will receive a response with the results of our investigation as soon as possible.

Please let us know if we can assist you further, and thanks for playing at PokerStars!

Hello MJFX,

Thank you for your mail.

Based on a preliminary review of the situation you reported, a complete review of the players involved has been initiated.  This will include checking on relationships, location and play.

Depending on our findings, the players may be contacted and asked to explain relationships and/or play. The entire process generally takes up to 2 weeks, but can be delayed if we don't receive prompt responses.

The poker specialist handling this review will contact you directly when the review is complete or if there are unusual delays.  Thank you for your patience while we complete this process.

Probably fair.... and very efficient indeed.

Hello Lim,

Again, thank you very much for your report. Our review of 'ProplayerN1' and 'PapazZzzi' is now complete. We did not confirm a relationship, however in the instance that you've reported, we found that they did go easy on one another (known as soft play) on occasion as a matter of 'nationalistic softplay'. That is, one asked the other for help later in the event. Both being from the same city and country, one decided to show some compassion for his fellow countryman at our tables. This is a violation of our tournament rule #20 as posted at: http://www.pokerstars.com/tournamentsrules.html We have the advantage of being able to replay the games with all cards exposed. We carefully reviewed all events in which at least one of the two finished in the money. Based on the review we determined that their action did not affect the outcome of any event. They did not finish in the money in the event you reported. Even though we do not believe their actions to have been overly malicious or harmful, we do appreciate this violation report. Just as well, we acknowledge the seriousness of their actions. As a token of appreciation, we would like to advance you into the target tournament. Please note that we have credited your account with a ticket to 'APPT-Macau: Freeroll Phase 2' (Tournament #455134101). It is not uncommon to find that players are not aware of the seriousness of such action in tournament play. The overall review, which included requests for explanations from the players and consideration of all account information, led us to conclude that their action was not malicious. Therefore they will be allowed to continue playing on the site. That said, we did take action to see that they do not play in the same Sit & Go Tournaments in the future, or at the same cash game table for that matter. The integrity of our games is of utmost importance as is fair resolution of situations such as this. Our primary concern is to assure our players of a fair and secure environment in which to enjoy online poker. Your vigilance in noticing the situation and reporting your concerns are appreciated. Please don't hesitate to let us know anytime you have questions or concerns.
