With this level buyin, UTG ranges are basically AQ+,1010+.i cant see him raise with anything weaker.

And the sb push ranges is definately QQ+,AK unless u have hand histories with him.
Ur basically flipping most of the time.Easy fold this early in the tourny.

While its true that AK is a premium hand, you have to consider other factors as well. For example, thinking about the first person's all in, the only hand that you have crushed is AQ or AJ. As previous poster points out most other possible hand combinations you are up against would be a cointoss. Not to mention that there is an UTG raiser to move after you. Another thing would be your chipstack- you have just a blind invested so far, why would you risk a significant portion of your chipstack (30% if UTG doesnt call, or 100% if UTG calls your all in) in what would most commonly be a cointoss, or in worse case scenarios your hand dominated? Dont forget that the raise was from 100 to 2000, which is 20 times- opponent HAS to have something good to raise crazily like this.

Now if you are short stacked or if calling the allin wouldnt jeapordize a big portion of your stack, then definitely youd have to call- but point is that you have a very healthy chipstack and so you would not and should not risk it in cointoss situations.

boymalap is 100% right there.

Agreed with the aboves.

One thing you MIGHT want to consider, especially with hands that need to flop good, is call the 41bb raise. Now if you get shoved on, you can consider what UTG was holding.

Read into his history and table image. He minraised UTG and could be sorta-kinda trapping or wanting to see a flop with suited, AJ+ or JJ QQ and trapping with Kings and Aces. Not many would min-raise with AK/99+ UTG though. Queens for UTG-minraise would be a flip situation and if your comfortable with a flip this early for chip leadish stack no one is stopping you, but its not optimal play for tournament survival. Then when shoved on you a 100+bb stack, I would reckon his range is down to Kings and Aces.

Since you shoved, its insta-called and your more or less done. If you had Jacks to Aces a shove from you is normal. With hands that need to gambol, AQ or mid-pairs, I tend to like to call with a stack early in a tournament and decide on any other further action. If I had say a 20-40bb stack, I would of course call/shove with 8s-AJ.

With 50-80bb, I may, and only may, call with AJ-Qs. I would usually shove over as well and gg in this case with the Ks/As of UTG. Lets say even if you called and UTG folded and you lose to SB, you still have a shoving stack and hope you get luckier later. But with a hundo+ stack, I'm gambling almost all the time for 30% of my stack.

Even if UTG was full of it, (JTs/QJ+/A-rag), and we folded, I still have chips for further use. Use it to punish UTG later.

The points I would boil down to is stack size in relations to tournament level (M ratio) and WWutgD. As xcaliblur said, your putting 30% on a call rather then risking 100% on a shove early in a tournament to what usually be a cointoss. Gambol when you need to, not all the time.

The scope of pushing someone is definately the QQ, AK, The unless there is a history of his hand.

hmm if both of u were 100bb this is a clear fold.

given his stack size of 40bb, I think a call might be good here, depending on how aggressive he is and how tight the early opener is. It would definitely be a call if he had 30bb or less. Also I think the fact that you are deep allows u to gamble more, if this is like half ur stack I probably just fold.
