when he bets on the turn after he reraises with more than a player yet to act on the flop,u know he almost has the nuts. 4 is definately in his calling range preflop after 2 callers. i put him of A4,K4s,34s.i just cant see him reraising the flop and fire the turn with at least a 4 :)

He is seldom doing this with J10 IMO unless he is a very good reg and knows your tendencies well. Since you have AJ he likely has a 4, and given the way the hand has played it's unlikely to be 34, 45, 46. Most likely A4. Preflop I might actually muck because once UTG raised and UTG+1 called, and you call, there are likely to be many cold callers. Any flop is difficult to play. Actually even with only 1 more caller top pair is difficult to play. So you'll be hoping to flop a really big hand. AJs would be better to cold call since the number of flops you hit is much higher vs those ranges. A better option might be to 3b and try to control the hand after that. Advantage is ranges are more defined but disadvantage is even if you hit the flop you have RIO, so you must pot control those flops you hit and try to take away the pot on those you don't.

Once the flop is raised you are in a super awkward spot OOP. If he is an avg player you can fold because this is a horrible board to represent hands on therefore tight bluffing ranges. Of course calling and trying to get to showdown is still ok. However why would you ever raise turn. Only better will call and reraise, worse will fold. On occasion you get bluffed out by a very good observant reg. Your aim if you call the flop is to get to showdown but reevaluate if insane strength is shown. By raising you take a hand with good showdown value and turn it into a bluff. There is no point in protecting because even if he had air on flop but turned a draw these situations are too uncommon vs the times you lose out on showdown with a hand that might be good.

Conclusion: 3b pre > Call = Fold, Flop arguable, Turn Fold > Call >>> Raise

Fold AJo pre or raise , over calling (calling when another cold called (calling without putting any money into the pot)) makes it hard to win
