Inducing a mega spew

Villain is 31/25/13, He has been 3betting like a maniac and I did 4bet bluff him once or twice. He is a very good player and will pounce on weakness.

BTN: $1128.40
SB: $202.50
BB: $869.11
UTG: $292.10
MP: $500.00
Hero (CO): $2638.43

Pre Flop: ($7.50) Hero is CO with 5Image 5Image
2 folds, Hero raises to $12.50, 2 folds, BB calls $7.50

Flop: ($27.50) 6Image 8Image 5Image (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $15.00, BB raises to $50, Hero calls $35

From a game theory perspective my sizing is terrible. I am usually checking and giving up on this flop because it hits a caller's range much harder than it hits mine. Thus, my actual betting range here is really strong and I should be betting like 80%+. I also expect to be semi-bluffed by a wide range of hands, including backdoor draws and gutshots.

I felt like inducing bluffs from him because we are deep and I am almost certainly not going to play a nutted hand in this way so he is going to be putting me on some weak pairs or even air. He raises and I feel that re-raising may isolate me vs stronger hands and I bet small to induce anyway.

Turn: ($127.50) 2Image (2 players)
BB bets $114.00, Hero calls $114

The blank card is great. He is betting out really strong and I have the option of reraising for protection but I think he folds everything but sets if I do that. I plan to call most rivers including flush rivers. 4 straight Rivers will be pretty tricky though but I decided to take the risk.

River: ($355.50) 8Image (2 players)
BB bets $467.00, Hero calls $467

One of the best cards for me, I now beat 79s. He over bets and I snap him off.

Final Pot: $1289.50
BB shows AImage QImage
Hero shows 5Image 5Image
Hero wins $1286.70
(Rake: $2.80)

Nothing too fancy here but I think that the small sizing and the read I had on villain was key here. Of course in most circumstances I would just bet a much larger amount but it felt that this guy was going to spew and get out of line.
