First hand grand waldo live poker experience.

Postby Nicefingers » Sun Aug 10, 2008 3:10 pm

Well, pokerstars @ macau grand waldo certainly sounds like a huge deal but in fact there's alot of flaws regarding the dealers.

The dealers @ waldo are inexperienced, don't know the rules well, takes eons to deal the full table, can't control and got controlled by the table, players do string bet and flash cards to friends without getting warned by the dealers.

The dealers once muck my winning hand of pair 5 to a pair 4 hand and was very confused throughout the whole ordeal when we tried to correct him numerous times but still wanna muck my hand of K5 suited to a 43o on a Q 4 J 9 5 board.

Take note of male dealers, they are the most blur. U will know the specific blur cock that muck my hand when he deals for you because his blur-cockedness is so distinct u can't possibly miss him.

Well, i went to grand lisboa and it is a whole new experience. Dealers/service/pitboss are all very experienced. Grand LIsboa > Grand waldo, Nuff Said.

hey while you're there, can you check something out for me?

my friend swears blackjack at MGM allows you to surrender against a dealer's ace.
Can you confirm this for me?

I had a bad dealer at Lisboa, who miscalculated the rake from a pot on my table, and it was a 50$/100$ - NL5K$ table, so you would think they would use an experienced dealer, but this was not the case..
but all by all, the rake at Lisboa sucks so hard in comparison with Waldo, although I still think rake is too high at Waldo also :D

both rake 5% though. but waldo c apped it at 100hkd at the 10/20 table. no idea about the higher limits. but the truth is, waldo dealers are the worst.

i made a complaint to the manager about the rake being calculated wrongly.

guess they haven't corrected that. And why should they, if all the donks are willing to pay it.

I personally feel the dealers at grand lisboa are worse than those at waldo... They are basically just not holdem trained and 90% of the dealers here in our home games can probably own them in speed and pot calculation. The waldo dealers were at least pretty fast and the manager more friendly than the lisboa people. When they are raking just keep a look out, its pretty simple as they rake 10% capped at 5 big blinds.before 2 am its 5 % capped at 5 big blinds
