Van Marcus took down the 2008 APPT Manila main event, he is taking back home PHP8,037,000 or USD$162,856.98.
As was the custom at this final table, Marcus was all-in with the worst hand, and needed to hit a 5, 9 or 10 on the turn or river to win the hand and the tournament.

In thrilling fashion, Charles Lesmana, the "Indomee" has just claimed the APPT Manila Package after battling for almost 7 hrs on the felt. Charles proved that he will be a force to be reckoned with in live tournament poker besides playing cash games. There was a total of 27 players for this $230 (1R & 1A) qualifier.

A total of 19 entrants took part in the $200+$30 (1R & 1A) APPT Manila Qualifier today. Clarence Poh from Poker Times outlasted the rest of the field and crowned the title.
It's the beginning of Day 2 APPT Auckland. Our boys are doing very well and are among the top 10 in chip counts. Unfortunately, Ivan Tan got knocked out when he pushed all in with his short stack. In the meanwhile, Nat and Bryan are still gathering more chips to cruise into the the Final Table.
Japan has done remarkably well for APPT Seoul as it has outshined the rest of the countries and took down the APPT Seoul Title. A team of 36 Japanese players which mostly from JPL(Japan Poker League) took part in the main event. 3 of the Japanese players made it into the final table.
The survival race continued on Day 2 with 83 players remaining. Unfortunately one of our kakis, Ivan Tan got eliminated. On the hand, Bryan Huang has played well and managed to reach the final 2 tables. He is definitely chasing his spot to the final table. Way to go, Bryan!
