A great turnout of almost 170 players showed up for the Day 1A of The Metro’s P10-Million
peso guaranteed tournament yesterday, with every single one eying the Three Million Peso (P3,000,000) first place prize.
Action started slow, and there were no bust outs for the first hour and a half of play. When the tables came down to 9-handed action, then the plays opened up. Early chip leader Gabby Barredo had over 100K in chips to lead the field when the average stack was still around 40K, but took several hits and busted out halfway through the tournament. The poker was top notch, showing how mature local tournament players have gotten.
